BTS "There's no one from Seoul. Seoul ambassador for 5 consecutive years".
The group BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) expressed their feelings as honorary ambassadors for tourism in Seoul for the fifth consecutive year. BTS members rambled, saying, "I'm not from Seoul at all."
On the 30th of last month, a video titled "The Story of the 5th Anniversary of BTS' Ambassador to Seoul" was posted on the YouTube channel "Visit Seoul TV."
In the video, BTS said, "It is the 5th anniversary of us becoming honorary tourism ambassadors in Seoul. What's interesting is that none of us are from Seoul," he said. BTS member RM is known to be from Ilsan, Jin Eun Gwacheon, Suga and V from Daegu, Jimin and Jungkook from Busan, and J-Hope from Gwangju.
When Jin said, "But wasn't RM born in Seoul?" RM replied, "I was born in Yeouido." RM was born in Seoul, but is known to have moved to Ilsan after the age of five. Then the members said, "Then let's leave (RM) from Seoul," making people laugh.
The BTS members then watched advertisement videos in Seoul over the past four years. RM said, "When I first filmed the video, I didn't think I would be a goodwill ambassador for five consecutive years. "I'm very proud, amazed, and honored," he said.
Then Jin said, "Aren't we living in Seoul?" I feel good to promote where I live, Jimin said, "I can see us getting older in the video.
"I feel good that I'm getting older like Seoul," he said with a smile.
The K-pop representative group BTS has introduced not only Seoul but also Korean culture and attractions to the world. BTS was appointed as a "special presidential envoy for future generations and culture" and attended the UN General Assembly last month and made a speech in Korean for about seven minutes after President Moon Jae In at the opening session of the "Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment." Following the speech, he traveled around the UN General Assembly, including the conference hall, and performed a cheerful "Permission to Dance" performance, drawing attention from global netizens.
