RM went to BTS at the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art.
The Jeollanam-do Museum of Art said that RM (real name Kim Nam-joon), the leader of the group BTS (BTS), has visited the exhibition "Lee Kun-hee Collection Special Exhibition: Noble Time, Great Gift" and is drawing public attention.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art, RM posted a photo taken against the backdrop of the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art building on the BTS official Twitter on the 5th.
Art lover RM is visiting art galleries all over the country with an "exhibition tour" and is viewing artists Kim Hwan-ki and Yoo Young-guk's works in person. Meanwhile, he also appeared in the special exhibition of Lee Kun-hee's collection at the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art, which has been exhibited since September.
Netizens responded surprised by unexpected news such as "RM has been to the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art" and "When did Namjoon come and went?"
Currently, the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art is holding a special donation exhibition composed of the collections of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee. Of the 21 donated works, 19 are disclosed to the public. They include works by masters from Jeollanam-do such as Kim Hwan-ki, Chun Kyung-ja, and Oh Ji-ho, as well as works by artists representing Korean modern and contemporary art such as Yoo Young-guk, Park Dae-sung, and Kim Eun-ho.
A visitor to the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art said, "It was nice to be able to enhance my perspective on artworks by looking at master's works in the region without having to go to the metropolitan area," adding, "I hope many people will come and experience a beautiful donation culture."
The "Lee Kun-hee Collection Special Exhibition" recorded more than 2,000 visitors on the first weekend of its opening alone, and inquiries from various organizations are continuing. The exhibition runs until November 7th.
Lee Ji-ho, director of the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art, said, "The name 'Lee Gun-hee Collection' itself has a special meaning, and it is attracting public attention as it has become more meaningful with RM's visit."
The Jeollanam-do Museum of Art restricts the maximum number of people entering according to the COVID-19 quarantine rules and conducts quarantine and disinfection every day.
The opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The admission fee is 1,000 won and there is a 50 percent discount for Jeollanam-do residents.
