BTS V, Wikipedia. No. 1 Korean male singer, Page View.

BTS V topped the official rankings of Wikipedia in September.

According to Wikipedia on the 11th, BTS V recorded a total of 276,920 cases in the official rankings of Wikipedia's Korean project page (English version) in September 2021, ranking first in the male singer rankings.

In the overall ranking, Netflix's K-drama "Squid Game," which hit the world, topped the list and BTS came in second. Thanks to the global craze of "Squid Game," actors such as Lee Jung-jae and Park Hae-soo formed the top ranks, while "Homeown Cha-Cha-Cha" and the main actors also joined.

Interestingly, even during the period when Netflix content was generally super strong, V of BTS recorded the best page view of male singers. Earlier in June, July, and August, BTS V topped the personal page view of Korean celebrities for the third consecutive month. In addition, from July 2015 to September 2021, when Wikipedia began to be serviced, it recorded the highest number of views among K-pop stars with 21.19 million cumulative page views worldwide.

V's worldwide popularity is significant. V is ranked No. 1 in the world's most popular K-pop idol in 2021 by Nubia Magazine, No. 1 in the "Most Popular BTS Member in Southeast Asia" by British music media "NME," No. 1 in the K-pop community Deer Zone, Russia's largest SNS Vkontakte (VK).

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia in the form of user participation, and the number of visitors, Page View, is one of the authorized "social popular indicators" used in the US Billboard Social Chart and presidential elections.
